Constructor Foundation

“Knowledge is a solution against all evil”

— Serg Bell

Supporting research, education and technology at Constructor University. Empowering the next generation of global leaders and innovators.

From individual donors to global companies — everyone can have a concrete, visible role in building the future.

Why give to Constructor Foundation?

When you support Constructor, you do more than “help a university”. You invest in people and ideas that can change how we live, learn and solve problems. Every scholarship, every research project, every new space on campus is a concrete step towards a world where knowledge and technology are used to solve real challenges – from climate and health to digital security and social cohesion. At the same time, you give talented students a chance they would not have otherwise and help young researchers turn skills into real solutions.

Real impact, not abstraction

You can see what your support does: a specific student who can now study; a lab that produces prototypes and start-ups; a programme that opens doors for people who would never reach this level of education otherwise. Stories are concrete, not abstract.

Participation in progress

You do not just write a cheque – you join a community of alumni, entrepreneurs, scientists, parents and partners who believe that knowledge is the most effective protection against any form of decline, extremism or destruction. A gift becomes a way to say: "I had a role in making this possible."

Reputation and value

As a donor or partner, you gain recognition, stronger reputation and positive visibility; companies also gain access to talent and research, and often benefit from tax advantages in their home countries. Giving becomes both meaningful and rational.

Talent & Scholarships

Open the door for talented students from all over the world – including regions that matter to you or your company. Scholarships at Constructor are not anonymous: donors can follow student stories, see how their careers develop and understand what changed because a scholarship existed.

Ways to give

Constructor Foundation offers different ways to support the ecosystem – from one-time gifts to long-term funds and asset-backed projects. Together we can design a structure that fits your goals, your geography and your tax situation.

Current-use gifts (1–10 years)

Direct support for scholarships, research projects, mobility funds or events over a defined period. Ideal for visible short- and medium-term impact, with simple, regular updates about the students and projects you support.

Endowment & named funds

Create a named fund whose capital is invested and a defined share of the returns is spent each year on priorities you choose – scholarships, labs, chairs or spaces. This can be perpetual, or for a fixed term (for example 5–10 years). Endowment-style giving complements current-use gifts and provides long-term stability for talent and research.

Asset-backed projects

Co-finance a student residence, learning centre or data/AI facility that carries your name. Over time, rents or usage fees can repay the investment; once recovered, the asset can be donated to Constructor, creating a strong public story. This format combines impact, visibility and a clear financial logic.

Corporate & foundation partnerships

Multi-year partnerships that combine talent pipelines, internships, co-branded programmes and joint research. Designed around your strategic topics and ESG/impact priorities, they can also include an endowment component for long-term support.

About Constructor Foundation

Constructor Foundation is an independent, non-profit foundation based in Switzerland. Its mission is to support Constructor University in Bremen and the wider Constructor ecosystem for research, education and technology worldwide. It works closely with sister organizations in Germany and the United States to offer tax-efficient channels for donors in different regions, while providing one trusted front door for all gifts to Constructor’s academic and innovation ecosystem.

Our Principles

Trusted and focused

Like the ETH Zurich Foundation for ETH Zurich, Constructor Foundation provides a clear, trusted interface for philanthropy: one place where donors can support students, research and campus projects knowing their gifts will be used as agreed.

Independent and professional

The Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees and advised by independent experts. Assets are managed professionally, and grants are awarded strictly according to donor intent and academic quality standards at Constructor University.

Transparent and principled

We follow clear principles on academic freedom, gift acceptance, naming and recognition, investment and spending. Donors receive honest, regular reporting on the use and impact of major gifts and on the performance of funds.

The Constructor Ecosystem
